Rejuvenate my Farmer
on: October 11, 2013, 07:30:38 PM
I have an old cross Farmer with not a lot of finish left on the scales. Is there anybody in the UK
who could re anodise the scales for me?

You would have to remove both scales to anodize it.  Not sure I'd do that just for pure cosmetics.

I agree. Probably just a fanciful idea on my part  :( I'm better off trading it for something I want to use
as I'm no collector.

I wouldn't worry about it Chris. In my opinion worn tools look much better anyway

I am sure you can find many people who'd swap a new Farmer for an old cross version.

My opinion?  Use it and enjoy it.  Consider reanodizing it if you need to fix a broken tool in it.

And yes, worn Alox is beautiful!

That's fantastic.

Agreed  :salute: Why on earth would you spend money ruining a look like that  :twak: ;)

That's perfect just the way it is ... other than the lack of scissors  :P but for that you just pair it with a Micra, which also gives the mini driver, tweezers, nail file ... etc ...etc ...

I'm glad you like it guys. The problem is I don't use it as I usually carry a Huntsman, so I started to think
"what should I do with this?"  :ahhh To be honest, having things I don't use drives me a little nuts. I am the complete polar opposite of collector, sort of Chako's evil twin  >:D

Wanna trade it?  I do collect Farmers.  If there's something you've been thinking about, let me know.  I have many Vics, Wengers, Leathermans etc.

I'm here to help.  :D
