SAK pumpkin carving contest

Ashley and I did this last year as well, you can see the results here. The rules are simple. Carve a pumpkin using only a Swiss Army Knife, show us pics of the SAK in action and the results! Extra points for creativity, both in the design and tool use. We'll choose two winners. One winner will receive a mystery SAK from me, and the other will be getting some paracord goodies and a mystery prize from Ashley. This is open to everyone on the forum, but if you're under 18 we need to send the prizes C/O a parent. Other tools can be used to empty and scrape out the pumpkin, but carving can be done ONLY with a Victorinox or Wenger. Multiple SAKs are OK as well. This ends at midnight EDT October 31, and we'll pick and announce the winners shortly after. Unless, of course, my area takes a direct hit from a hurricane and I have no power for 10 days like last year....

Let's see some curving all. Thanks Tom for posting this. My work schedule and life has been a mess for the last month but soon hopefully all will be back to normal. I'll be checking thread as often as I can.

Dont have pics in progress with sak but I did this one for a contest in my neighborhood usong my sak

First off, the proper spelling is "youse" .

To answer your question, yes I did, but only after the fact.

Last year when the contest ended was a bit of a mess here, and I was a bit preoccupied. For that I do apologize. On a positive note, I haven't seen anything in the tropical forecasts that so far suggest anything coming our way like the past two Halloweens.....

Cool idea for a contest/giveaway JD and Ashley

I'm not a pumpkin carver really, and it's not something we do anyway. My older daughter liked painting them, but she's outgrown that, and the baby is too young to care. Too bad though, as it'd be a good chance to try out the fish scaler on my Yeochamp since some have stated it makes a good pumpkin carver. I'll be sitting this one out though, but I look forward to seeing what others create

Yes, a Swisstool counts. Get carving and your lack of 91 or 85mm goodness might be taken care of.....

So here is my Entry. Thanks for the chance.

This is my absolutely first Pumpkin carving. Finally found use for the can-opener. Does a great job at scratching out the content (used the spoon for cleaning).

Hehehe... now lets see how the soup turns out.

Thanks, copied the motive from the internet.

I should also add that I did most of the carving with the Rally blade and for the very fine details (e.g. the nose) I used the toothpick.

Ohhh, yes and according to taste-but-witnesses the soup turned out great (which I can't confirm as I don't like pumpkin).
