Mrs wisemen was at work this afternoon so me and the kids had a go. Used the following Vic's, manager (tiny blade), sentinel and a spartan.

Here's my entry for the SAK Pumpkin Carving contest, I hope you guys like it!  This was a fun challenge and  I enjoyed the problem solving of having to use my Swiss army knife for everything. All carving was done with my Wenger Highlander except for hollowing out the pumpkin, I used a Clay trimming tool for that. Although the Highlander wasn't the perfect tool for the job it did work nicely, especially for drilling out the eyes, (I used the awl to create a pilot hole and then used the knife blade like a spade drill bit :D) Overall a very fun experience, thanks for putting the contest together!

Well here's our entry.  The kids designed it, and I used my OHT to cut it out.  I'm glad I picked that Vic as the pumpkin was as thick as the blade!  I've never seen a pumpkin so thick.

So my GF bought me a multitool (hand-blender) so I can make more soup...

This time the pumpkin was larger
Dual Pro (Blade, can-opener) - Cutting open and scraping
Rambler Blade - Fine cutting
Rambler Toothpick - fine corners
Rambler nail-file - scratching the larger areas

Last minute pumpkin! I wanted to try a full surface carving with just my SAK.  This time I used a Vic Huntsman.  The design is hand drawn, no patterns for this pumpkin!  :D  Happy Halloween everyone!!

Well folks, this contest is closed!  As soon as Ashley and I can confer and choose winners, we will announce them.  Knowing our work schedules today, it might be either much later today or tomorrow morning.  A bit of suspense never hurt anyone....  ;)  I promise it won't be a delay like last year, since this year I actually have power......
