Surplus EDC Finds!
on: January 03, 2015, 02:22:10 AM
I swung by my local army navy store today and had a blast! I found all these in the newest shipment.

They also had a ST300 for 39.99 but I didn't grab it.

Leatherman Wave for size Comparison.

First Up is a Mini Maglite Carrier. Im assuming the extra pouch on the right is for more batteries? I also dont own a mini maglite, YET

Next up is a SPEC-OPS "Mini-Pocket Organizer" retail is 22USD. I paid 2.99

Does anyone know why the lanyard is so long? Maybe to hold a writing utensil?

Next is a RITE IN THE RAIN C980 and retails for 17.95USD. I paid 4.99. It did not include a note book.

And lastly is my newest school pencil organizer. I have no clue what this thing was. If it doesn't work out for school it'll probably be a drill bit or tool holder.

The marketing blurb for the pocket organizer says "Gear leash for keys, mini-light, etc." So probably just for not having to release the keys to open a door.

Why didn't I think of that? I just looked at retails and reviews but never the description! Thanks!

Agreed. I have never had an "EDC" bag or organizer. But I guess there is no better time than this close to new years.

I have a red 2xAA mini maglite that is sitting here collecting dust... it's all yours if you want it. it's an older version, but you could always buy one of the LED upgrade kits for it.

Thank you very much for the gratitude and help!

I have a pro Mini on the way from amazon. I don't want to take advantage so I'll pass, but thank you very much!

You could put a two layer SAK beside the Maglite, I'd imagine.  Very nice scores.

I might be able to fit something larger as well. But this might mean I have to buy a SAK for the first time ever
