I recently bought this little MT. Never heard of the Coast Fishing Multitool until I started looking for something similar to the one I got and found this page in MTO.
http://www.multitool.org/20071010226/Miscellaneous-Tools/Small-Tools/Coast-Fishing-Buddy.htmlIt's not an original and it's about 2/3 the original's size. There's a pic of it standing next to the Sportsman 84mm Vic for comparison.
I'll refer most of this review to the original MT you can find in the link. So, here's a list of the tools, differences are in
bold:
1.
Three hex wrench cutouts- 3/8",
11/32" and 5/16"
2. Metric and Imperial ruler-
10cm or 4 inches3.
Nail file with nail cleaner4.
Partially serrated Clip pointed blade5.
Pokey stick Bottle opener in the top "cover"6.
Spring loaded Scissors
7. Long shanked phillips driver
8. Wood saw
9.
Hook like thingLong shanked flathead screwdriver10. Leatherman Micra style
bottle opener/flathead screwdriver11.
Lanyard ring with spring clip
(had to put a ring in it)Pros:
Well equipped
Compact
Locking implements
Scissors always spring open as soon as you open the handles
Cons:
Specialized tool, not useful for general carry Scissors always spring open as soon as you open the handles Too bulky to carry comfortablyIt's on my EDC. Great scissors, useful little blade, nail file/cleaner is reasonable, wood saw better than I thought.
Cost: €3,50 (about US$5)
