Kira Salek(writer, adventurer) , in her book"Four Corners", used an SAK. The only problem is that i only know that it has a can opener.
Does anyone know what model she uses/used???

Aboput the only thing I can suggest would be to contact National Geographic and see if they can forward your e-mail on to her.

That's what I would do- I can't find any information on it anywhere else.
