Just got a couple of small ones: a Vise and a Splice, both 2nd hand. In pretty good shape, though. Cleaned and oiled them, now just have to decide which one to carry for a few days to see if it can become part of my EDC.

Thanks! They're quite sturdy and the spring action is great on both. Still need to sharpen the blades. I'm leaning towards the Vise, the blades can perform most of the scissors' tasks.

Nice! I really like the needlenose grip (more like "knurling") that is gentler on soft surfaces as compared to regular MP's, its blade, and the lock buttons. Hope that your son( and, probably you!!!) enjoys it as its a very good one. Congratulations! :2tu: :like:

Ooohhh ... did I see HSS replacement cutters instead of the grenading OE's!?!?!?

I've been checking this out.  I didn't notice the knurled grip or the Snap On S on the pliers head.  You're right Juan....this is one cool tool!

My first, latest, and only Gerber MT. The thing is, I gave it to my mother maybe twenty years ago. Mom was very much into all kinds of crafts, from quilts to carpentry. She was impressed by my Leatherman when I was helping her fix up my Granpa's place. So I went and bought her a MT. They didn't have Leathermans so I got her this.

Today I was clearing out her room, lung cancer got her last year. So I took what was rightfully mine. Still in mint condition, I think Mom only ever used for very light and clean tasks.

Amazingly, the exact same model seems to be still in production. But mine is from maybe 2000 or 2001. It'll be interesting to work with it and see how it compares to LM.

That's one nice-looking, hopefully cherished MP400; almost new! Enjoy it, as it is a wonderful, compact tool, at the ready for any medium-duty chore you throw at it.  :2tu: :like:

:iagree: I've had 2 of those over the years and they're great tools.  I'm a fan of the scissors!  I'm sorry for your loss.  That's a cherished tool.

I believe this high gloss Gerber is between the 1.2 and the 2.0
A 1.2 would have had scissors and high gloss.
A 2.0 would have triangular awl and bead blast finish.

I never knew they existed until you posted yours Vicman.  I was surprised that they're still offered by Snap On, and told him about it.  He loves it!
