Thanks, T-G!

The sheath definitely looks like a well made, well thought-out, and nicely finished accessory.  The sheath is about as small as it could be considering the material and tool size(a bit bulky as you mentioned)/bit set size. They might could have saved a bit of thickness by using a snap like the ones on the new Leatherman nylon sheaths. Overall I think Gerber did a great job on it. It is good to see Gerber(and LM) starting to take their sheaths more seriously.  :)

Edit:

Checking around, maybe you could contact this guy about international shipping?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/OTIS-GERBER-5-56-223-GUN-CLEANING-KIT-CENTER-DRIVE-MULTI-TOOL-PLIERS-MAGLITE-a7/283540613346?hash=item42045668e2:g:duMAAOSw3hVdIiHH#shpCntId

I bought my BO CD by buying that kit. I don't have a rifle, but the brushes, lens stuff, oil, and stuff come in handy for other things.  :)
The Maglite that came with mine is a high-intensity red, but I don't know if all the Otis kits come with it.

That's one sweet deal  :o.

Sadly enough I don't own any guns, but still, I could probably find some use for most of that kit, but ...  Shipping is the party-pooper here, $61 shipping to Belgium, which makes a total of $141.  And costums will be all over this, adding 15€ administration costs first, and then adding 21% taxes of the total value of the package (value of the goods + shipping costs+ 15€ custom administration costs) and by doing so, once again ruin an otherwise sweet deal  ::).

Only way to keep it a good deal is if somebody is willing to only ship the BO CenterDrive and the bitkit in a padded envelope as being a "used camping tool" with a value of let's say $25 (obviously I would pay more than that) and keep the rest of the kit for himself.  That way it might just slip through customs, and even if it doesn't, it would still be a great deal with the "low" value and shipping ...

For the cleaning kit for .223 you should be able to use everything both the barrel brush for .22.

Hope this helps.

A cute little MOLLE compatible sheath made in the USA.

Tool is assembled in the USA with USA and Global materials. The Gerber eFECT weapon maintenance tool. Weighs in at 4oz, is 87.2mm(3.43") long, 25mm(0.98") wide at the locks, and 27.3mm(1.07") thick at the tool edges..

Alongside a Vic Explorer for size reference.

I know it is an old model and it a good modding platform, but this one is for the collection. :ahhh

The MP1 that i had really opened to door to Gerber for me, that big tool actually looks amazing. Wish I had a use for it...
:iagree:

I would like to buy another one to use, except I would need it to be about 20% smaller.  :ahhh

Gerber has made and makes some really neat/unique tools for sure. Some were duds and some are classics. The size of the Groundbreker makes it difficult to imagine carrying.

Better it stays pristine in it's "plastic prison".  Based on my examples (4) those pretty, light coloured handles get dirty and scratched rather easily.

 fully agree. The yellow one that I have, have a very rubbery feel to the touch and sticks to some surfaces. I always fear that one day the paint will just gets stuck and peel right off..  :ahhh

A LM XL Molle sheath fits the MP600s very nicely. Deep opening on the sides makes tool retrieval very easy.

Thanks Sam. I’ll have to pick one up. Is it normal for Gerbers to have so much play in the plier head? I can handle a little rattle, but wanted to make sure this is normal.

If u are refering to the rattle from the handle touching the pliers, that's perfectly normal. Happens to all the slide out design.

Good to know and thanks for the reply! I’m digging this tool. Even though the tools are inside, I can still get to them quickly. Can’t say the same for my Rebar. Plus, the fidget factor of the Gerber is  8).
