Western Europe meetup?
on: November 02, 2013, 11:34:16 PM
Sooo... I was thinking, I believe there are quite some members around in Western Europe (say.. Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, etc..) maybe it would be nice to meet up some time, have some beers, talk about tools, well, you know... So, would you be interested in joining such a venture?

Any thoughts?

I'd love to, but I'm a bit far out...

While I don't think I'll be able to attend a European meet-up, I can totally recommend that you guys give it a go.  I've been going to the UK meet-ups for a few years now and I can honestly say that I have enjoyed every single one.  A chance to put faces to names, swap stories, drink beers, trade tools and have a play with MT's that you wouldn't normally get a chance to see.  What's not to like? :tu:
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

I travel a bit (surprise...    )

e.g. Next week  I will be  in Luxembourg.

However we need to find a place with cheap (e,g, Ryanair etc.) flights, on a weekend so that a few people can attend. Here is nice but flights tend to be expensive. Germany, Greece, France may be good.

Going to give this topic a small kick ... (figure of speech)

Let's just say all depends on when and where, I work one weekend out of four and my wife works one weekend out of two,  and sometimes we are aksed on friday before our "free weekend" if we can work because one of our colleagues called in sick, so ...

But when I don't have to work, and it's not a 3 hour drive, I'll probably drop by  ;).
