2013 SAK wish list
on: November 12, 2013, 04:17:12 PM
Looks like it's getting to be that time of the year again. The good ole' Christmas season is heading our way. So, what's on your SAK wish list this year? I'll start off with mine.

1. Small Tinker w/ scissors (mod)
2. MiniChamp XXL (my own coming soon mod)
3. Explorer
4. Plain Small Tinker

It's a schizophrenic waste of time for me to make a wish list as this year I am Santa, and Santa will probably be skint by the time the bells are a-jinglin'.
But if Santa were stoned/robbed a bank/ sold a few cats to the local restaurant he'd probably bring me one of those exotic Alox whatnots with a Marlin spike. Then he'd have to give me a sleigh ride to the nearest hospital as that spike looks flippin' dangerous.

Only thing on my wish list would be a 1972 Wenger SI/M1961. Can't see it happening though
There is no beginning,or ending, and for this we are thankful, cos now is hard enough to understand!

Well, since all I wish I have to pay myself...

Vic Cybertool 34
Vic Classic x 2 (for my kits, still trying to find affordable stayglow ones)

That's pretty much it, I have kinda blown my budget for the year already, but... :D

I'm generally happy with the SAKs I have, very few things I'd like to add to the mix and most of them are mods I'll make myself when I finally find the time for it. I've had the parts for an Urban Cadet (+scissors) and an ALOX Rambler for months now. And I need to buy a Wenger combo tool.

I'd still like to add to the collection a Windsor, a Director, a smooth alox Executive in black and maybe one of the old 120mm Rangers. And one of those Syph007 double openers/phillips, scissors, knife/awl thingies with black scales and red liners. :D I'll keep playing the lottery. ;)

I love ANY Swiss Army Knife (not a good sentence for the acronym)

but the one I am eye balling with unrealistic desire is the traveler Lite with white LED.

Ha, I don't think so buddy ;)  I think the Champion would be as far as I'm willing to go, and even that seems too thick to me.  What I really want is the Champion minus the saw.  That takes it down to 6 layers, and I could probably manage that.  I may just end up having my Yeochamp re-modded to add the opener layer and replace the combo opener with the small blade.  Only thing is, I want the new actual glass mag glass.

I'll keep playing the lottery. ;)

That's the spirit!

But winning would be a disaster, surely-- you could buy every SAK imaginable in about a week, and your hobby would be ruined. All you could do then is move on to bigger things - vintage cars, motor boats, classic warplanes - and then suddenly you'd wake up and  find you'd spent everything... then you'd be back where you started, looking for a Climber.

I'll play...

-Spirit S Black Oxide Dutch Army edition with leather Dutch army sheath.

-One of each Cadet and Bantam in the Denmark Black and Green Alox with red shields.

Any one of the following would be a lucky find...

-Cadet limited blue with red shield.

-Pioneer limited blue with red shield.

-Midshipman black with red shield.

Edit to add...

-Onyx Voyager

Hmm let me think

- Ti MiniChamp by Syph007
- Alox Rally
- Wenger Minathor
- Alox CyberTool 41 without Woodsaw

Yes, that should do it. Good thing I have been really nice this year
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

Like many others I find my self in that odd place where everything I don't already own comes with caveats, such as it's been retired 20+ years, or they simply never made it.

On the short list:
Compact Alox
Cadet w/scissors
Stand alone scissors w/Alox... will get around to this one day

O and of course a pair of mint condition 84mm Voyageur's in red, smooth and ribbed Alox... Yeah that rounds it out.
