Another fun poll
on: November 14, 2013, 03:23:35 PM
I didn't include the ridiculous ones, like Swisschamp XLT, XAVT, or Workchamp XL.

I've allowed two votes per user, so if you have two you really like, vote for them both.

You can also change your vote, so if someone puts one under 'Other' that you'd forgotten about, you can remedy your vote.

But I made it so you can't see the results until you've voted yourself; I don't want any "peer pressure voting" ;)

Didn't need two votes for this one, without a doubt the Swisschamp for me, it's been the SAK I used as EDC for the last few years  8).

1. CT41

2. S557

No contest. 8)

SwissChamp is a must for me.  My other choice is an 'other' the Woodsman.

Before 2005: the SwissChamp. After 2005: the Craftsman because I cannot stand the new style main blade and magnifying plastic and also I want the Philips screwdriver, even like that.

The Explorer is probably the best choice since it is thin and has a lot of necessities in it.

When the going gets tough or I have work ahead of me I'll grab my Master Craftsman. Has every tool I need. All it's missing is the pliers, but I already know my $2 slip joint pliers would put the Vic's to shame anyway so no need for them.

Since my Compact/Timekeeper is in pieces till my brass comes in (%$#@ is taking forever!!!) I've been carrying my Traveller Lite rather comfortably... As long as it's the only thing in the pocket.

To me, definitely the CyberTool 41. It has everything I could ever possibly need, thanks to the bit screwdriver, since I don't fish and very rarely need something magnified. It's just a fantastic tool  :climber:

I'm going with the Cybertool 34 and Cybertool 41, with the CT 34 getting my first vote. They both combine an extremely useful bit holder with scissors and pliers. The CT41 adds a sometimes useful saw, but adds a metal file I've never used. The Swiss Champ is too bulky, and in addition to the unused metal file adds an unused scaler.

The metal file/saw is actually very useful for cutting off nail heads.

I voted other.  The thickest one I'd like is the Champion Plus, even though I don't own one, I'm considering it.  I do have the Ranger Plus, and I like it overall, despite the fact it has the woodsaw, which I rarely use.  I knew that before I bought it though.  I just wanted it for some reason.  Neither of them are on the list though.  My ideal thick SAK would be the Champion Plus, without the woodsaw.

Only 3 votes for the Workchamp, seems to indicate that a lot of you aren't aware of this excellent knife.  :-\

I have actually.  I also want to get another Explorer (Plus this time, with onyx scales).  My hope is to have that modded to add the file and fish scaler.

I went with CT41 & CT Lite.

CT41 is great as a solo carry. But if I also have a pliers based tool with saws, the mag lens and LED are nice adds.

I think it is under appreciated that the LED lines up with the bit driver on the CT lite.  Do any other SAKs have an LED that can light up towards a Philips or bit driver?
