I remember reading here on MTO about a Philips SD on a Spirit that got all rounded after some light use. This was recently but I can't remember who posted that. I'd contact Vic first, then send the tool in. I don't think you'll have a problem. Me, on the other hand, I don't think I could handle pics of this atrocity
I dropped my Vic Spirit and Swisstool off at the Victorinox Shop in Cologne. They sent it to Ibach.Turnaround was somewhat slow, but the work was flawless.I claimed a warranty issue for the Spirit (teh Plierhead had soem minor play) and it got replaced although I might have overstressed teh Pliers a bit, being used to the Swisstool and MP 600.I sent the Swisstool in for Service (Which I paid a hollering 8,- € for ).I asked them to regrind the Chisel and Awl and sharpen the blades while at it.I got back my own tool, but with a completely new plierhead and new tools. When I sent Knives to Ibach directly, turnaround was quick (8 days, IIRC) and they did actually repair the knives i sent in and only replaced one. This rambling shall only illustrate the perfect warranty service I have come to know from Victorinox.I would send the Spirit to Vic directly and guess they either repair it or replace it free - They stand behind their products.
