Well, I'm still edc-ing the Balance. As I promised I would until I either came to love it or it died.

I'll give it it's due, it's justified its presence on more than a few occasions.
Biggest bug bear for me with it is the lack of OHO blade!! Really ruins it. Keep considering fitting a steel stud to ease opening action.

The scissors spring constantly has to be pushed over whenever its required.
Also find the jaws have a tendency to start sliding back in whilst in use.
Tweezers are pathetic...end of!!

Other than that 7/10 times, it manages to save me a walk.

It's very easy in the pocket though, that's quite possibly the only reason why I still EDC it every day.

So, Do I love it?? No!!
It's just a tool, would I mend it?? Yes!! If only to get my money's worth out of it!

It's a BN MP600 with carbide cutters that has a some tools from the Pro Scout added to it.

Handle 1
Combo Blade, small flat, medium flat with cap lifter, large flat, file

Handle 2
Scissors, Philips, blade exchanger

I ditched the lanyard and can opener as I have no use for either. Went with the combo blade as a backup (I carry a dedicated folder or SAK with plain edge).

Decided to carry my Flik this morning. After a good 5 minutes of increasingly frantic looking in my MT drawer I remembered it was in my rucksack and I actually had been carrying it around for the last couple of weeks. Given that this fact had already saved me from the punishment chicken I really should have remembered.

YES! I carried all the way from my car to my workshop, put it down for the day and then carried it back to the car. Phew, no punishment chicken for me.

The gerber sheath is okay, i took the velcro out of mine and put in a snap.. I do like the softer sheath just because it lays a little flatter.

I've got two different Gerber sheaths, they tend to be flatter than the LM ones but one is stiff as anything and the other is pretty soft. I have one of the small LM MOLLE sheaths and the MP600 rides pretty well in it. Eventually, I will just order a Skinth. Plan is to get my carry to fairly standard load-out first

If you want scissors and saw in the MP600, pick up a Diesel for parts and breed the two. I did it to mine and it now has all the tools I need.

It's been dominating my EDC rotation since I did the mod.

Good idea ! Easy enough mod, I am all over the place with my edc. I am a collector user for the most part so I like to give pocket time to most of the gear.
