:multi:  Swapped out the Swisstool RS after work.  It's hard to believe they're very close weight wise.

My Gerber Flik has been my EDC for several years now. In fact, this is my second Flik as my original got jammed up when I applied a bit too much force using the pliers in a twisting motion. Anyway, here's how I carry it.

Thanks, it's my own design. The Flik slides in and locks with a satisfying "click". You can pull up on the handle and the pliers deploy on the way out or push up on the nose to remove without deploying the pliers. This is v2, the v1 rode way too high on the belt. That's the beauty of 3D printing, fast prototyping. I wore the first test print of the v2 for over a year before it finally broke. It wasn't printed to be strong so I didn't think it was going to last a month. This one in the picture is a brand new print that I just did with production level print settings so I expect it will last many, many years. I've considered making versions for other Gerbers as well but the Flik is my EDC and I grew tired of the absolutely terrible nylon sheath it came with.

Used the MP600 to open its official replacement - the Suspension. So far I'm not impressed. Whilst I accept that it's a more budget option the quality does not compare to the MP  :td:

The only consolation is that it was free  :tu: (work issue) However, so was the MP - I guess cuts have consequences  ::)

Anyway, I still have both and will continue to carry my Surge regardless  :dunno:

I had the NXT version, and my son still has the OG Suspension.  Neither are bad tools, and they're definitely durable.  They lose a lot of their charm if you've ever carried anything further up quality wise.  We're tool and knife guys and I don't think any of us would be impressed by them.  They make great gifts to family though  :D
The MP is an entirely different animal, however.  It's built like a tank and is made for professionals.

This is my modified MP600 Basic, after doing gardening chores ( pulling vines from trimmer's head, pulling weeds from trimmer's head and pots, cutting dried banana leaves, cutting branches and saplings, cutting trimmer line and wire) and, its sheath (loving it for its quick deployment, small footprint, ease of use and, since it has the 2.25" clip, how I can clip it at my pant's waist).

Looking good Juan!  What's the difference between the Basic and the regular MP600?

Juan, we just got that Basic in that I ordered and now I see why there's a difference in price.  It has the good old fashioned non replaceable cutters instead of the newer ones.
