Sometimes you need more than one.
I carry both of these in my contingency bag along with anything I might need for a day or two when I can't leave or go shopping. Everything from IFAK to batteries, bootlaces, and meal replacement bars is in there.  Anyway, last Friday I had to replace the batteries in a mobility scooter.  The connections bolt to the terminal posts, so I used the DualForce to hold the nuts, and the CenterDrive to loosen/tighten the bolts.

Good thinking Alan! There are times when you need two pair of pliers.  I have a bag in my car with backups of gear I might need, too.

One of the original surprise boxes contained a Center Drive. I regret passing it up. Did it wind up with Alan?

I got the DualForce when Gerber had their end of summer sale a couple of years ago and I think I got the CenterDrive 4 or 5 years ago off of ebay.  I don't recall seeing a CenterDrive in the Sos surprise box, so somebody else must have got it.
The surprise box is still going around if anyone else wants to sign up for it.

The contents still fit in a small flat rate box when the Center Drive was included, and was long gone when I took my second go. That's quite the span of time in which it could have been claimed. Perhaps I'll find the original thread and see if I can determine who claimed it.

Took the good old lawn mower out for the annual check before its season starts.

I gave it some oil, cleaned out cakes of old grass and leaves from the moving parts and gave the spark plug a sort of ritual rub off. ::) :D

Finally I touched up the blade with the MP's file. The lawn mowers blade was in a pretty sorry state. :dunno: It doesn't need to be anywhere near perfect for my needs, so a little rough walk over did wonders. Those files are ace. And the MP is awesome for dirty work like this. :tu:

Thanks, Barry. :hatsoff: It's a fun activity, I find. You know spring is coming when you feel like taking the old lawn mower out. Not that I use it much. We like to have the garden grow a bit wild, but some trails and a football pitch is needed. :D

I just got this Mr. Pinchy. My first. :D I find it really nice. The size and weight makes for very easy carry, but it does not seem to hold back on sturdiness for that reason. :o I'm looking forward to taking it to the test, but I expect it to do some tough work, for the looks and feel of it.

Not quite Monday here so, I'm not posting in MPMondays (yet). Decided to perform some deep maintenance to the Bladed Bladeless, and after finishing decided to do some PSA:

If you want to mod or deep clean your MP or CD but don't have or don't want to wait for (or are a frugal, grumpy old man like myself) "parse wrenches" and happen to have a spare chassis/handle set from an old for-parts MP400/600, you've got yourself a pair of "parse wrenches" for your MP's or Centerdrives! Cut the fixed side off the handles and dress with a sander/file/sandpaper the edges and, voilà!
If you have no extra handles, you may take a 10-11mm flat screwdriver (the bit pictured is a 10mm) and grind it as to have two prongs; this prongs will fit into two opposing nubs of the pivot bolt. Also remember that you'll only need one wrench/driver, as there is a fixed side in both the MP's and the Centerdrive. Happy cleaning and modding!  [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Which one would you people choose for MP Monday, the OE Bladeless or the "Classic", silver one?  :D  [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]
