Pretty cool! So who's going to volunteer their car to test it?

you should add this to Gareths 'winter car kit thread' so people can consider putting in 200mtrs of rope, a 6mtr pole and some 6"x4" timber

Now that's resourceful!

I cant figure out how they got the wood attached to the car though?

How the heck did they stuck the wood under the car and fix it while it's submerged?

I'm guessing the wood was attached to the car before going in the water. That seems like the only possible way.

As far as I can tell the wood wasn't attached. It just served as a rail to get the car back on ice. I'm guessing they used some kind of hook to catch the back part of the car, maybe to the trailer hook.

That would be my take on it as well.

Note to self:  Don't park your car in the middle of a frozen lake.
