Cabelas Leatehrman Charge TI and XTI

Hey guys,

My name is Robert and I found myself on a 3 hour search today for the best multi tool for me. I wanted to let you all know that i was able to finally narrow it down to the Charge TI thanks to this very informative web site. I thought I would take the time to thank you all by letting you in a a deal I found on these two tools. Cabelas now is offering both of these tools for 79.99 in their Bargain cave. (at lease I thought it was a bargain ?)

Thanks Guys! And from what I found on the Leatherman website the TI comes with scissors. Do you know something I don't?

Welcome! Yeah the TI comes with scissors, the XTI doesn't. The main pic shows an XTI

The way I understand it, the XTI and TI have been disco'd, which might explain the sale price.

The TTI is what's "in" now, and has taken both their place.

The XTI had two main bit drivers and no scissors, the TI had scissors but no gut hook or crimper.

The TTI has scissors and the crimper and the hook.

I allway have a problem remembering how what models go with what tools. So I just end up getting one of each!

I found this little tid-bit that helped out a with some of the confusion, but your analysis sums it up well thanks a bunch!
Looks like the next one will have to be a TTI. When does it end. LOL.

When does it end. Well unfortunatly and fortunatly never. There is allways another tool out there you want and got to get. However allways do your homework and check out what people think. Also remember the vast amount of reviews the fearless leader and his band of misfits put together on the home page.

This is what I am learning. Good advice!

And I'll be sure and report back when I get this thing, although it will most likely not be anything new to here....

Yep, I suppose you could look at it that way.

Must've been my subconscious wanting to tune out ANY tool that has anodized aluminum handles.

They need to make a TTi with 2 large bit drivers, large scissors, and an awl. So a Surge sized TTi with 2 large drivers (which lock!)
