Ok, I've just washed the credit card wallet with plain water and soap  Wanted to clean it a bit :D It's not as light as it used to be originally, but not so dark as it had got either. It survived the water :D

   Is there anyone to buy that. I mean, if people buy it, fine. But. Why would you buy ... (S)crap ?!

Ive bought some leather scrap from skin shops before. Its perfect for small puches and sheaths if the pieces arent too small. Ive also seen people stich all the scraps together to make handbags and even jackets.

HMMMMM, I'd rather pay less and get the ready credit card wallet or something else than a bunch of irregular leather pieces on which I'll have to work myself....... or maybe I'm just not creative enough :D And maybe I'm lazy enough lol

So, we know the all so desired "patina" and glossiness that SBL wallets are supposed to get with time? So did mine. Well, I'm not a fan of it, lol. I think it just makes wallets look all dirty and disgusting. So..... I tried to do something with mine, but I'm not sure I like it. Maybe I'll keep the work going until I remove all visible streaks :D Or it'll eventually smooth out again on its own. Well, now it at least looks different and there's again some texture to it :D

I bet you just did it so if someone asks why it looks like that you can say:
"Oh, I used my gold knife to do it..."

You're scaring me :D Then I hope to at least NOT get tobacco again as I have that one, lol. Whatever else comes, fine. But I do hope to get the dark coffee brown. I think it'll get a bit too dark when it ages.. I don't really want it to look black, but we'll see.

Now that I've had both wallets for over 8 months, let me write some Pros & Cons (though I'm not sure a lot of the people here have these or use them :D)

Still:

The ID Wallet:

- offers more storage capacity (though I'm able to cram the same stuff from it in the credit card one)

- it has most cards exposed... especially whatever you put in the ID window. And when I walk a lot in the heat or if you go jogging or sth and carry it in your front pocket.... this card can get quite wet.

The Credit Card wallet:

- offers less capacity

- but the cards are more secure

LOL, I didn't do a lot, did I. I love them both

Anyway, a family picture :D

Unfortunately, I was unable to settle on a leather wallet but thanks to this, I have changed wallets to a Maxpedition Spartan which I'm very happy with :D

Because I love my Credit Card wallets, after buying the new one, I didn't use the old one. Which I didn't like. So. I decided to think of a way to use the old one, too. As I frequently have to take notes and put down things, here we go. Clip some old paper to the credit card wallet with a hairpin or a paperclip and you get a cool tiny notebook :D

My hairpin's a bit ugly, so later I changed it to a paperclip - its metal's softer, so it isn't so rough on the leather, it holds the paper nicely, it won't slip and what's an easier thing to find a replacement for than a paperclip :D

Smart, but what if you just cut a small notepad to size? Then just slip it into the pockets, like using the leather like a book cover? I made something similar for a small composition books,  JR

Cool ideas, guys!

But: the rubberband - looks nice, but I think the band going on the outside of the wallet may not look that well.. a paperclip is somewhat more subtle.

That with the small notepad is also nice. I just don't have one now, otherwise I'd try it immediately :D
