They drop a guy off on top of a volcano in Iceland, supposedly without any tools. First thing he does is pull out a blunt nose MP600 he has hidden on him.......

Jake Zweig is the guy you're talking about. He's a Navy SEAL and that Gerber is part of his survival kit.
Thomas D. Moore, a co-star on that show, did an article about him a year before the show was even a thought.

I love looking through different peoples 'survival kit' or PSK, it's almost a hobby in itself

great to see other peoples ideas, although I see the same things often (guess that means they are the things to have

) every now and then you do get a good/new tip

the one in the link above doesn't stand out from the crowd much but that's probably because it's all 'tried and tested'.
but the list reads a little hokey to me, the hank of para cord looks quite 'small' to be 50 feet, and how small are the cotton balls in that film container ?
