Well Il say it again

fat man is absolutely no help at all shoveling/plowing snow

here he is enjoying some winter sun stuck in a tree while I was shoveling snow

And here he is doing some snow bank inspecting "I guess"  sitting on the dash of my plow truck when I was taking a short break.

So I guess you had a bit of snow today again. :P

The weather is crazy here in all sorts of ways too. This morning 7am while heading to work we had -3°C and ice on the roads as it rained all night. I skidded twice. :o When driving home it was +15°C. I wish it would decide, either be winter or spring, not both in the same day.

Oh BTW guys, no need to worry about the picture links. JA and I agreed even before he started the thread that I'd keep an eye on it and fix his links and other mods agreed to help out too if they see it before I do. We're usually rather fast with the edits.

I really like the skinith . Its my second and I'm sure not my last.

Erick makes a rugged sheath.

if I would have kept the little man in a skinith I don't think I would have lost it.

I did some serious prying with the fat man to get into a locked home for the owner.

I pried the door jam over a bit so the doors lock would clear. I would have had to go through a window if she would have locked the dead bolt.

USE YOUR DEAD BOLTS PEOPLE it makes it way way harder to break in.
any idiot with a flat screwdriver can easily open your door if you don't use a dead bolt.

ps
I bent the large pry tool on a swisstool on a very similar door doing the same thing.

Sounds like you should get a set of nice lockpicks, just in case they do use their dead bolts! :)

a bit off topic but how is that Swisstool warranty thing going?
Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

Thanks to Lam.Kampfer the little boy will be coming home. He's sliver now and he's bringing a little friend.

thanks man now we can get back on track.

I'm also going to be using the micra that comes with the rebar. Since so many sets of st300 and rebar's came with one

the micra is a excellent tool is is own right.

I'm glad to be getting one nib to add to this review.

thanks again.

I wasn't gonna make his gift public but I think he deserves to have everyone know what a awesome guy he is.

I'm going to be messing with all my old tools until the rebar gets here.

my favorite mid sized leatherman tonight the PULSE http://www.multitool.org/Leatherman-Tool-Group/Medium-Tools/2006/03/14/pulse.html

the rebar should have its lanyard ring. The lock would get in the way but I still like it.

the rebar pretty much beats it in every other way except its diamond file .

scissors and saw kinda equal out.  One has a good saw one has a good scissors.

Every tool should have them both :)

Micra Name Thoughts

Trinity might be a good name

Trinity was the name of the first nuclear bomb test in the white sands desert

This was the first nuclear explosion .

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trinity_test

this was the one they tested before they dropped little boy and fat man on japan

trinity was the code name of the operation not the name of the bomb
it really had no name that I know of.

Trinity used an implosion-design plutonium device, informally nicknamed "The Gadget".

The Gadget is a good name also.

I like The Gadget more and more. A fitting name for a little micra. It is a great gadget.

I second the gadget. It goes better with the whole utilitarian nature of the tools and the simple names given to the bombs. Trinity is almost too fancy :D
