If I had to kick out a twenty every time I should have gotten /missed a pic of be a very poor man.

I wish I could get more in action shots.

hopefully the new phone I'm getting "galaxy 5 active" will live up to all the stuff I've heard about its camera. It stakes a bunch of shots at once so I can pick the best one. That Is just what I need it to do :D

I bet I've posted maybe a quarter or less of the pics I've taken for this topic.

its hard to work with one hand and get a good pic with the other.

:)

edit

I just reread my post lol

I was complaining about taking a pic with one hand a working with the other.

my first real review "the out topic" I did mostly with one hand. That was hard. Lol I had to ask my co worker to take pics.

I've cut down a half a dozen small trees and cut part if a plastic barrel in half and I want to say that the extra length on the fat man tools compared to the rebar makes a big difference.

the fatter handles also helped but the extra length makes the biggest difference.

After I got the trees cut and the plastic barrel put in around a metal barrel we put around the water ports the homes hook up to I got to put the fat man to use trying to keep the tractor running.

he tightened up the wires going into the starter loosened and tightened some file fitting to bleed air out of the fuel system, and removed a few nuts to change our the air cleaner. Its still not running right . I'm thinking someone put something in the fuel while we were on break or something.

that was the last day of work during this review.

Fat Man has done everything I needed and never let me down .

I would recommend a st300 to anyone who needs a good tool for serious work.

Il try do a some up of both tool with some comparison pics Monday

this has been a good review.

Sorry for the poor spelling today.

this phone is acting up and possibly a hint of operator error.

I should reread my posts better.

Are you going to mark the BO Rebar as sentimental so you get the same one back or does it matter?

I'm still undecided.

if I was going to retire it I would just keep it the way it is

I plan on using it so I don't know. It would be cool to keep using little boy but a new replacement would also be nice.

I don't know .

what would you do Steve?

I know the question wasn't directed at me,but I'd want him repaired! It adds character, strengthens your bond with him...hell,not to do it would be like sending to the vets to be put down!

Sorry,it's been a long day,and I'm a bit  emotion..  ..al

I feel the same way.

I just know I'm always happy to get a new tool

I'm pretty sure I won't replace it.

its a first time for me. I always ask for a replacement.

It's entirely up to you but I tend to get sentimental about my MT's and SAK's and would probably request a repair. That may mean it takes longer to get back but might be worth it...

Here's some comparison pics of fat man a little boy.

there two different tools in a lot of ways

size being the biggest difference

the extra length of fat mans blades, saw, file was appreciate during use
that little bit of extra length made some jobs much easier with the Fat Man

the fat man has a better selection of longer drivers
that feel stronger to me also

little boys lack of a large flat head was why he ended up broken before this review ended.

the Phillips is longer but I never noticed that it was any better than little boys.

the awls on the two tool are close to the same length but fat mans awl has a Chanel cut into it that helps it make a cleaner hole by clearing debris while its cutting and not forcing it up though the outside of the hole its cutting

the only tool that is exactly the same in both tools is the can opener . I never did open a can but I did use the stripper on both. It works great with both tools

I didn't take pics of the useless lanyard ring.

I thought this was a good time to take pics of all the tools after I have used them

I'm impressed with their coating. These two tools still look good after 6 months and a lot of use.

I'd buy em again.

both are well worth what they cost and more.

Nice comparison pics Joel :tu:  You almost have me wanting a ST300, if it wasn't for that fact that I probably couldn't handle carrying it.  The original Supertool and Charge TTi are about my limit I think, with both weighing in at 8.8oz.  That's plenty heavy for rear pocket carry, or any pocket really for me.

The Fat Man came to work with me again today.

I doubt Il use him but he's handy just being around.

I'm shoveling dirt making lots. Not as fun as it sounds :)

fat man has  been a great tool so far and I'm sure he's not close to done working yet .

I have no plans of selling or trading him. He might get some rest while I try a different tools but he will be my go to multitool I take to work for the foreseeable future.

Wrap up

the st300 has totally proved to be a excellent tool for me and my work

the rebar on the other hand was great for all my off work tasks but lacks the larger tools I need in a work tool.

I'm sure you'll see alot of them both on the forum

it was a good 6 months.  :multi:
