Well, I have a bunch of different watches. I have a few GShock's, a Rolex, a few Invicta's, and lastly a Fossil. To be honest, I like the GShocks the best. They are tough, cheap, and comfortable. I wear my Rolex on special occasions..

Lm123,

How do you like your Invicta's?  I have heard that they can be hit or miss.

Which ones do you have?

Also, Leatherman123...what do you think of Panerai?

I have two Invicta's now.. To be honest, I think they are great watches. I have: this one- http://www.discounsmurfchstore.com/store-products-Invicta-4469-Invicta-Coin-Edge-Bezel-Swiss-300-Meter-Automatic-Diver-4469_40635464.html
I also have- http://www.discounsmurfchstore.com/store-products-Invicta-17050-Invicta-Mens-Sapphire-Diver-Chronograph-17050_37652366.html
I only paid like $50 bucks for the first watch. It was on clearance at BJ's. Panerai are great watches. I wore my Dad's for about a good six months. It was the Pam-196. The cons are that it is a LARGE watch and you even have to wind it..

Oh, and Panerai's hold their value. You could buy one and wear it and sell it for almost what you paid for it.. My next watch is going to be a Luminox though..

You guys have soom nice watches. These are the only two I have and wear both of them all the time. A Timex Ironman that I paid $1 for at a yard sale with a home made paracord band and a Casio e-data bank that I have worn for years.

Don't knock the Iron Man- it was one of the toughest watches I've ever had, and it held up quite well back in the good old days when I used to kill watches constantly!

I really should try a G-shock.  I keep saying I will but I never seem to take the plunge.

Def, that Wenger is real nice.  :)

Thanks Ben- I love that Wenger!  I have often thought about talking to a watch customizer about putting it in a more solid case, but I'd hate to take a chance on having it ruined.  If I had a second, I'd consider it, but those buggers are few and far between nowadays!

If you'd like I can send one of my G's along with the big package 'o' toys for you to check out?

Good luck finding a (mens) G-shock that doesn't look like a hockey puck on your wrist, Ben.  I'm betting you have thin wrists like me, and I just can't bring myself to wear one.

That's where good old Def comes in and lets me try before I buy.  :D

I have had problems for ages looking for watches to fit my thin wrists.  The only one I have been really happy with is my Wenger which is still large, but seems to look ok.

I have a few watches, nothing expensive, and my favorite among them is my Citizen Promaster.

(Image removed from quote.)

What compass is on that band?  Any chance I can get a link to it?

Sorry I can't post a picture, but I wear a Stowa Airman automatic with date and metal bracelett. Here's a link

http://stowa.de/shop/cgi-bin/lshop.cgi?action=showdetail&wkid=17544&ls=e&nc=1212275728-17601&rubnum=flieger&artnum=fliegerdatum&file=&gesamt_zeilen=Tshowrub--flieger

I would have liked to have bought the hand wound Stowa Marine Original, but it was not in production at the time I bought mine.

I like leather bands, but I sweat so much that they just don't work for me. I would love to have a black crock strap, but then I would have to buy another watch for dress.

I wear my watch even when I sleep. The only time I take it off is when I shower. I got in the habit of not taking it off because I traveled on my job for 30 years and I didn't want to forget it in a motel. Now it's just a habit.

I have worn a watch since I was 6 years old and I'm 55 now. That was about the same time I started carring a pocket knife. Times were different then.

My favorite watch forum.

It's a cheapie made in China, but they do work, at least most of 'em do.  I got a bunch off ebay from this seller a few years ago and checked each for accuracy, and tossed the few that were off/inaccurate when compared with my Brunton and Suunto.  I used most of them with lanyards and paracord bracelets.  I prefer the Suunto because it's luminous.

Both types have a weak point, being that the rotating bezel can be 'popped' off if it catches on something, but it can be snapped back in and doesn't affect the compass itself.  I've even glued the bezel in place on a couple of the cheapies that I thought were too loose, and you don't really need the bezel on a compass this small anyway.

That's not too bad.

I just picked up an Invicta 8926 Dive watch.  It's my first automatic and I love it!  Of course, it's a rip off of the Rolex Submariner, but I don't care.
