Victorinox Mag Glass snow flake pictures
on: January 01, 2014, 08:33:03 PM
I do not have a nice camera, (wish I did) but I have a Galaxy S4 phone, so it is good for a cell phone camera.

used my explorer mag glass today to take some nice snow flake pictures of flakes on my sliding glass door.

the hard part is holding the SAK, and the phone, and trying to time the focus.

I think they are not bad.  look out if I ever get a DSLR!!!!
If I can help, let me know

Excellent!

My fears concerning the quality of the magnifying glass are melting like snow in the sun   :D

Tomorrow I'm going to buy myself the Explorer for sure!

Thanks for thinking of this and experimenting. One more cool thing to add to the SAK "can do" list!

BTW, what is this "snow" of which you speak? I'm from SE Florida.    ???

since Photobucket downsizes the photos, I decided to crop the originals and upload.  this might be easier to see

Detron, you have done it again with the mag glass pics :salute:  The cropped ones are really good and show just how detailed snowflakes really are.

Oh, and I'm not too proud to admit that before I read your explanation of the snowflakes being on your sliding glass door, I thought you were very skilled at snapping pics just in time as the snowflakes fell

Not intending to hijack your thread Detron, but you've inspired me to do some playing around with mag glass pictures as well :)  I figured this is a good place to post them.
