Awesome early birthday gift!

It seems someone here pays attention to me after all! 



I had been drooling over this watch (Casio G Shock GA-100) for several years now, ever since one was listed here (InspectorWinter's Trade List) in 2010.  I stop and look at it in a watch shop at one of the local malls all the time, and Megan usually just sighs and puts up with it because I'm good at cooking and cleaning. 

Then a little while ago Raistlin65 listed one for sale and I drooled over it again, especially at such an amazing price.  But, the server bill was due as were a few other bills and I looked away.  Unbeknownst to me, Megan was watching and, while sitting right next to me, purchased it without my knowing!  Of course, she couldn't see the post because I was looking at it on my phone or tablet and all she had to go on was someone whose name started with "RAS" and was selling a G Shock.  Given how many G's have been up for sale lately (Tom, I'm looking at you buddy!) I'm amazed she found the right one! 

I was not surprised when I saw it was sold relatively quickly, and I forgot all about it.... except for the odd trip to the mall when I would stop and look at it.



It arrived safe and sound today, and I want to send out a HUGE thank you to Megan and Charles for making this happen.  And, as an added bonus, Charles threw in a small Stanley screwdriver tool that I immediately put to work fixing a cupboard!

Glad you like the little Stanley Pocket Screwdriver. I always thought it was a nice design idea for a simple tool with the flat head double ended bit under one end and the phillips under the other.

I appreciate it man- it arrived super quick, which I think kind of annoyed Megan because I wasn't supposed to know what it was.... try to be less awesome next time will you?

be careful as it is easy to scratch the glass, because of the large size of the whole thing, and those indentations on the bezel on the right and the left of the face of hte watch

..and the light is pathetic    but it looks cool

The light is marginally better than the one on my other G Shock, but only since it doesn't have one.

I'm surprised there are no glowy bits on this watch.
