Not sure if this counts. Wenger Standard Issue 1987. Not at all pretty but works great in the office, warehouse and outside. Love it.

Is that a knife in your pocket or are you glad to see me? It's a knife.

That definitely counts. Looks like that soldier has paid its dues over the years. Super cool.   :tu: :salute:

Yup. Cleaner her up some. Awl looks to have a broken tip not as sharp as if though but actually still works well in wood. Leather not so sure but I'll find out one day. Carries great as well.

Absolutely will be in everyday use Rizio. Thanks bud action is good. Someone sharpened the main blade and took away the belly I suppose so I have to open the bottle opener/flat head to open the main blade. If I could find another main blade with 87 on it maybe consider switching it out but I've gotten use to it. I use the ask and flat head as much as the main blade really. Handy tool.

Hey El C!!  I agree.  I have a '96 SI that's been through the works, but makes a great work knife.

A soldier(ish) m1951.
It had a broken awl when I got it which I replaced.
It's an interesting knife because the tang stamp is Wengerinox and it is dated 62 on the reverse.
The front scale does have a Waffen Kontrol stamp.
So it doesn't seem to add up. It overlaps the Alox soldiers and doesn't have the usual Wenger Delmont tang stamp. But civilian versions don't get the (WK) stamp.
So I'm not really sure if it's a soldier or not.
But it is my birth year so none of that really matters.

Interesting find PTRSAK, does seem unusual as by 1962 (my BY too btw) I thought the mod 51 would be with red grillon scales…I managed to get hold of one last year…either way nice SAK

Good to see you too, brother! Sorry for not being more active around here.  Big changes happening but I’m going to try to come around more often.

I recently bought my lady a 98 Soldier to keep in her car (mostly for my peace of mind)

I’ll never be done with this place.
