Latest addition, Picknicker Unser Heer. From what I know, it's not really a Soldier's knife (not issued to soldiers) but it has Austrian army insignia.  ;)

Thanks, i love it regardless of the poor sharpening, stropped it on leather, it shaves no problem and is strangely smooth for such an old knife. :climber:

Good to hear it’s smooth and sharpened up so well peddy, most of mine are real nail breakers!

I don’t mind a few marks and dings on these oldies, shoes a bit of character from their use. You do see some completely destroyed still with high asking prices, I leave those well alone

Oh not all is smooth, the can opener can break nails easily, i meant mainly the blade, the rest is ok, i got good nails:)

Waiting for the importer in Spain to have 2023 copies in stock.

Excellent collection, @Elqfaltaba10 !    I have all the Model 2008's as well, but don't have such a nice picture of them. 

I think a lot of people assume the M08's are easy and a little uninteresting to collect.  But sooner or later, Victorinox will update the model to suit the government's needs, and then they will become collectible.  My advice to anyone thinking about starting on the M08's is to start looking for a 2008 and a 2012 now.  They are next to impossible to find.

I am glad to coincide in the Victorinox Soldier 08 collection,
I imagine that this model will be in service for many years, I will continue to acquire a copy of each year, it is already a habit and a collection is slowly being created that becomes more interesting with the passage of time.
In my case, the hard part was getting a Soldier with the year 08 stamped on it, from the information I managed to get, only 1000 copies were made for the North American market, I discovered the existence of this limited series late, they were already sold out in almost all stores Luckily after many online inquiries, I found one in stock and I did not hesitate to get hold of it.
The rest of the models weren't any problem getting them, just be patient with the Spanish distributor of Victorinox (Manufacturas Muela) who began distributing them several months late, so much so that the 2022 item began to be distributed in Spain this February 2023 ... :facepalm:
