Current SAK Collection; and musings of my project
« on: January 26, 2014, 05:44:20 AM »
Hi folks. I've been collecting alox SAKs for a little while, admittedly with a degree of unhealthy obsession. Anyway, it was a while ago that I noticed the stunning lack of alox SAK content on YouTube. There just isn't a lot to be found. I've been doing knife and gear videos for a little bit, so I decided to attempt to fill out the catalog of video content on YouTube with as much alox material as possible. That has been my project, and the prime impetus behind my collecting.

I've had to let some models go to fund others for the sake of covering them on video, but my progress is solid. Frankly, I have enough footage archived to last a while with a modest upload schedule, and as I let some more pieces go to fund other SAKs, the catalog grows further and more people will be able to see full views of more uncommon pieces.

Anyway, I just did a current collection video, and took a photo of what was there.

Bottom left consists of Electrician/Plus, The Pruner series of models, and things like that. Top is the limited runs that I was lucky to get in on when I joined this place. :)

I have more Wenger SI's than anything else, I just love them.

So, that's my deal folks. I'm just a guy with an obsessive personality, an expensive camera and a YouTube channel. Oddly enough, I wouldn't be much of a collector if it weren't for that.

Thank you gents, much appreciated. It's actually more daunting than I thought, keeping track of everything and making sure the info is all there. But, I'll get through it bit by bit. I've been using Evernote to keep track of my collection, and what content (photos/videos) I've taken.

I'm also amassing photos in the even that I can contribute to SAKWiki, since I love that resource and point people there all the time.
