I have an XL Shield and that is the smallest to make that work I think?

Works for me at least but with a Spirit X instead if Leatherman

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

XL Shield has been dropped from the store I guess.

Shame because I was very close to buying one and the Mondo is for longer tools like the Surge which I don't own.

Dropped? It still shows up when I look for it: http://skinthsolutions.com/product/xl-shield-sheath/ ...

It was for almost a week.

It is back though and I have one on the way. Well ordered at least.

The wait begins, again.

Ok so the LM Bit Card will fit in the outside pocket of a L Shield like the pocket was made for it. Pretty sure it was btw.

It will also fit in the main pouch with the Wave.

There is no way to fit both of them though. They will both fit but the flap will not reach to snap close and it is way to tight even if it did for my tastes.

Pictures.

As long at the one bit kit fits, I'm happy. Nice looking sheath BTW. Ordered mine at the end of may and the wait is already brutal. I can't stop looking at pictures of Skinths!

Been carrying it everyday for maybe three years both while I was in the Army and now as a flatbed truck driver. Just now starting to show sines small signs of wear.

Couple of threads hanging out that I should really get around to cutting off and burning.

Both bit cards will fit in my L shield. The trick is how you load it. One bit card behind the Wave with the flat side against the tool. Second bit card in front of the tool in the main compartment upside down with the flat side against the tool. Any other way and the bit cards stick up higher and take up more room. I think if you cut one bit card shorter by getting rid of the little handle at the top it might fit in the front pocket. I used a sharpie cap just for demonstration purposes.

Been carrying my new BO Wave and one bit card for the last few days and I dont care for how tight everything is.

Cant imagine with both cards how it would be.

Glad I ordered a XL. Plus any excuse to buy a Surge right?

Tried out this loadout today in an XL Shield: SOG PAD, bit kit, light, bit extender and pen. Just about fits but the flap closes with some difficulty. Might have to order the MUT version...

Cheers!

Got my mondo shield couple of days ago, this thing is made so well! I’m always so happy when I get to buy something made in Canada. I have a funny feeling that I’m going to be buying more of them.
Pretty happy with what I can fit in it. This is my edc that goes everywhere with me.

It’s bigger than I thought, but very compact. I find it sits better on my belt than my Leatherman sheath.

Well, on another thread somewhere i found an old pic with my skinth loadout on 07-31-2013, and as it is just over 5 years later, i took a new pic today.
Skinth is pretty worn out now, bottom has some fraying after those 5 years of belt duty.
Some things have changed, i dont carry the prybar anymore, but a tank 007 flashlight and a ratchet were added. The clip of the Bullet pen came off and got lost multiple times, so i left it off.
The magnet serves in keeping the bit extension attatched tot he side of the wave.

Since i also got a lot of other leatherman multitools lately, i decided to order a new skinth mondo Shield which also can accommodate larger mt, like my surge and bitkit, extension, light etc. The long wait has begun...

Well here are the pics:

This was 2013:

This is today, 2018:

You say the Skinth is worn out and has fraying on the bottom.... is it still in good enough condition to feel secure, that it won’t let stuff fall out?

TP the picture was taken with an older iPhone with a camera app called hipstamatic. The current picture was also taken with hipstamatic, but with iphone 6s and different settings.

The loyalty  became little less to the wave lately, mostly due to the hot summer and me wearing shorts most of the time. Then a skinth with a wave and the additions is heavy on the belt.
Skeletool is my current summer mt love.  Backup Rebar rides in the car or workbag. New twotone Surge is great but heavy. Maybe more winter-carry, and more specific days when saws or big pliers come in handy

DP, i am not worried yet, but it probably would not last another 5 years. Clip is stil secure, buttons are too. Mainly the inner side at the bottom parts of the skinth is damaged. Outside does pretty well. Maybe when it is worn less frequent it might go for another 5 years :D

I've had this OG+ for a while, it's had different configurations of tools/knives in it over the years, but for the last year-and-a-half it's been carrying these items and has lived mostly in the center console of my truck.

Out of curiosity, isn’t it unpleasant to carry that much stuff in one belt mounted pouch / sheath?
