I bought this ceramic pocket knife.  It actually isn't too bad.  Pretty sharp and cuts decently.  I've cut a couple apples, sliced some newspaper, cut some thin cardboard.  It is decent for the light use it's seen so far.

Wharncliff blade, sunk joint, orange, what's not to like?

I would of bought it to. Seems like a great deal. I'm not into the whole ceramic knife thing yet but for under 3 bucks you can't go wrong. Can it take a edge like steel or is it to brittle for that? I've heard it takes long time to dull and is really tricky to sharpen. Once it gets to that point I would love for you to tell us how it held up and if its difficult to re edge
I don't know yet

I have a couple of them in black. But I paid about double that for them and that was the cheapest Australian listing on eBay.

I will be treating them as a disposable sharp knife with good edge retention as long as they're not abused.

Seeing that the material is billed as being 2nd in hardness to diamond I think it would be pretty hard to get an edge back on the blade without some pretty expensive gear.

I love ceramic knives. I think they are especially great in a kit you don't use that much as you don't have to worry about them.
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

The diamond file on a leatherman sharpens those kinds blades up nicely.

For less than $3 I think it would have been rude not to buy one.  :tu:

As an update, this knife is actually a very good slicer.  I've had no problems with it and it cuts like a champ.  I haven't tried to sharpen it yet, though.
