I stopped at Lowes tonight for some Surefire batteries and stopped by the multitool section and they had a LM Surge on clearance for $31.95, regular price was $79.95. You guys might want to stop by your local Lowes and take a look.

My Lowe's doesn't even carry the SURGE!!!. They just stock SOG Powerlocks and Kobalt specials.

I just snagged one at my local Lowe's for $31.99 this morning. They had two more i might pick up for Christmas or birthday gifts if they still have them next payday but at that price i doubt it. Lowe's sure didn't make them easy to find. Had to walk up and down every aisle in tools. Finally found them in a lockup case at the end of airtools. Mine came with a nylon sheath and the packaging is a bit nonstandard blister pack. Date code is 1207.

On a side note this thing is built like a mack truck! I really like scissors on the outside and the interchangeable file-saw seems to be a good idea.

If you are in or around Houston Texas the Lowes in Spring had a couple of Surges this morning for $31.99.

On a sidenote 105 degree heat index with 99.9999999% humidity is a mild annoyance. Better get some 3 in 1 if you buy that surge.

looks like this deal is done. In fact i think my local Lowes have pulled all Leatherman products off the shelves. Being payday i thought i would pick up one or two more for gifts and such but no Surges, Blasts, Waves...nothing.

It's a big place so they could have relocated them but employees have little knowledge of areas outside of their zones.

I've learned not to get too excited when I read online about things on sale at Lowes.

It's rare that I ever manage to snag one of those great deals at my local Lowes. Always seems to be sold out or else the item was never on sale.

Only exception was a couple of years back. I read about a great Lowes deal on flashlights over on CPF, and was able to buy a dozen Luxeon 1W flashlights dirt cheap at the local Lowes - 2 bucks per flashlight IIRC. Since they came with batteries it was like getting the flashlights for free.
