I usually post the Wenger related stuff in the Wenger love topic.
However, I think that what I found on ebay.com (auction completely unnoticed) and was able to get with the very kind help by Sazabi () deserves an own topic, as I probably consider it The Wenger oddity.
Never saw something like it.
The knife inside is a Classic 50 (has corkscrew and is confirmed also by the bar code on the bottom of the carton box).
There is no way to open it, unless using a can opener on the top metal can (note the instructions, where using a sak opener is not recommended  :D).
I won't open it, of course, and it is a pity, since the knife main blade appears to be the thicker old type (see near the tang, sorry for the poor quality of the picture, but there is no way to take a good one through the plastic).
Interesting is also the other label on the box, where I think the "65 DM" is probably the original price in german mark (Deutsche Mark).
This would date the box before 2002.
Would this be an old stock, sold in 2003?
The "Wenger knives 50/03" on the sticker, could mean model Classic 50/2003.
Anyway, here are the pictures for a good laugh.

This was Wenger's idea of a "Green" SAK in an aerosol-free can.

OPEN IT!

Just kidding. I'd never open that sucker. It'd be a gorgeous show piece.

Hey, thanks!
I just wish that the knife inside was a standard model, not a Classic 50 with long key chain, which I was missing and is not so common ... but really, how could I open just this piece of nonsense?
Still, I consider it more like a joke.
How about the registered trademark simbol on Swiss Personal Container?
Did really Wenger registered the word "personal"?
I couldn't find any reference on this website  :D

I guess the whole slogab "The Swiss Personal Container"  was trademarked at the time.
Depending on the country it is registered, there are diffeing rules and times until the registration runs out.

The thing is a nice Idea - funny no one seems to have known about them.

That's an interesting container. I find it funny it says not to open with a sak.

Kind of weird, but no worse than some clam-shell packaging when it comes to access.

Carlo, you scored again!  :salute:

Very Very lucky find they were a prototype for sale on aircraft , A friend of mine has an unopened one which I thought was unique. (He was at the product presentation :) )

Maybe another airline did take them on board and sell them

Once again very cool find :) :)
