Nylon or leather sheath

Ok. What do you prefer. Leather or nylon sheaths.

Like them both, but love the alternate nylon sheath that SOG have because you can mount it horizontal and vertical.
There is no problem that cannot be solved by the use of high explosives.

Leather all the way with the SOG.  It's my favorite multitool sheath out of all the ones I've used.

I have the nylon one also but have never used it.  It would come in handy if I ever wanted to mount it on my pack though.

I prefer the Nylon sheaths.

Although very durable and well constructed the leather sheaths just feel too bulky. The cut of the material is too thick for me.

Definitely nylon.  I like the leather sheaths too but the new leather SOG sheaths with the bullet-knife logo is not my style.

Corragated is right. On the SOG gotta go with the leather!!! They did it right, and really make a great sheath.

Another thing I like about the SOG leather sheath, and leather sheaths in general; They hold their shape once the tool is removed so it's easier to "re-sheath" your tool once your done.  Some nylon ones likt my Swisstool sheath also hold their shape, but the SOG sheath has a nice wide mouth to it :D

I think the leather one rides too high for me, nylon rides lower and is more comfortable. :)

I'd go with leather to me they look nicer. They need maintenance though but a little moisturizing lotion will do the trick :D

I edc my powerplier in the leather sheath,  I added loops made of velcro so the sheath rides in a horizontal fashion.  Beer gut makes vertical carry uncomfortable.  :)

I think when I joined this forum, I touted the superiority of Leather sheaths, and reported anyone who disagreed to the moderators for possessing offensive levels of stupidity.

HOWEVER since that time I matured and grown wise, and I begin to see the potential use (albeit minimal, and barely worth mentioning) of nylon sheaths.

There, I said it, now go to hell.
