I always wondered that with edc-ing a gun. I mean I see no problem with a hip holster, or maybe a shoulder holster, or a pocket holster in jacket pocket. But a loaded gun in trouser pocket holster of appendix holster or even worse, a loaded gun just in trouser pocket of behind a waistband... That would give me nightmares...  :ahhh and possibly somewhat higher voice...  :D

Today...Squirt, Minichamp, and Ti3.  The Squirt could probably do everything the Minichamp could do plus some, but I just don’t feel right without a SAK of some sort in my pocket.  I’m at home today.  If I were going out, the Ti3 would become a AA T10II, the Minichamp pen would become a Fisher Bullet pen, and the 58mm SAK would grow to 91mm (as in my pic in the post above).

I wear 5.11 Taclite Pro pants seven days a week, which have a myriad of pockets.  So while I do carry a lot of cr@p, I never notice that its there.  95% of the time, the firearm is in an OWB holster, with a phone OWB on the weak side, and everything else is spread out among the pockets.  Its sorta fun trying to find the smallest items that still have adequate utility.  An example of that is the Streamlight ProTac 2xAAA, which pretty much disappears in the pocket but makes plenty of light with several hours of burn time.

We each have to do what works for us, but a P365 with thumb safety in a pocket holster is - in my view - 100% safe.  The trigger is covered, there is nothing else in the pocket, and the thumb safety is another layer of safety.  For many years I did not like a thumb safety, but after carrying 25 years my views have changed on that.  We are most likely to have a negligent discharge while holstering the gun, and a thumb safety almost eliminates that risk.  But again, each to his own.  How we carry, or if we carry, is very personal and everyone is different.

Today I have a P365 in the pocket, with thumb safety and in a holster, and I feel completely confident its not going to go bang in my pocket.   :cheers:

Hear, hear!  Same with the little S&W Bodyguard I posted above...long, hard double action trigger pull, thumb safety, and everything covered by a pocket holster, and nothing else in the pocket...it would take quite a bit of effort (and stupidity) to make the gun go off unintentionally.

Well I am perfectly capable of effort and stupidity. I managed to set myself on fire, so I don't see why I wouldn't manage to shoot myself...  ::) :D
