The Mrs found this topic on Amazon called “Amazon Haul”, so we searched for things under $1, and I found a few things, I dont remember what but these two came in, yeah their not vise grip brand but hey they work,, that and were under $1,, same with the countersink bits,,

Have you ever bought something not because you needed it but just 100% because you thought it was neat?

I recently got this Tisas Stakeout 38 super. I switched out the grip safety with the "rat tail" type to look a little more retro. Thoughts?

Christmas eve (24th) is when we celebrate Christmas and open gifts in my corner of the world.
I'm well into the age where Christmas is more about giving and making others happy than receiving, so I don't want much, I don't get much and I'm happier for it.
Besides socks, vine and the usual stocking stuffers, the noteworthy standout this year was a Wave+ that I got from my (remaining) uncle.
While it's not something I actually needed (he doesn't know how many MTs I already own), it does show that he still knows me quite well and has some idea about what I use and need.
It also feels like something came full circle with this particular gift. It's 25 years since I got my other Wave, the OG Wave that my other uncle gifted me. It was his personal one, that he recently got for himself, but he decided to pass it on to me when I was admitted to the military's K9 unit.
He sadly passed away a few years ago, but I still have and use that first Wave, which has a very special place in my collection. Lots of sentimental value in that one.

From a curiosity point of view, it would have been more interesting to get a Wave Alpha, but I wouldn't have needed that one any more than I need a Wave+

Like I actually needed another pouch, but I got this accessory pouch to carry my sharpening gear in.

Happily, it also has a Velcro panel that will take my Swiss Army Knights patch.
