A few free Victorinox stickers showed up in the mail. I just used their contact form and asked nicely for them. ;)
(Image removed from quote.)

Dude, you realise that everyone here just e-mailed Victorinox, asking very nicely for the same, right?...

Please allow a stupid question; but what’s different about the “master mechanic” that would make it more ideal for a mechanic?

Usually what a mechanic needs is a tool for nuts and bolts. I only see a knife, file and assortment of screwdrivers.

Again sorry if stupid question, and I am just asking out of curiosity, hope it doesn’t come across the wrong way, I don’t know how to formulate myself differently

It's cool. A reasonable question.

Pool noodles!
Last night the dog lost his toy under the couch so I got up and got it to find about 10 others stashed in the far corner! All ones he’d never get, so I got a yardstick and cleaned everything out, about 15min later he was whimpering cause he lost his fav toy again along with about 3 others, so I got up and got them again, 15min later I did it for the last time of the day and said forget it, there’s gotta be a way to keep his stuff from going under! I did a little research and found some use pipe insulation yet others just the noodles, size and color pending I guess, I can care less, but these are the thickest I could find, so we have a “L” shape couch so I gotta see if the noodle is thick enough or if I’m going to get paracord and fish it through and tie it off at each end, and hopefully make this the last time I ever have to get under the darn thing!

Well this was kinda fun, getting the string around that way back corner was fun, taped a magnet to the string, pushed it with the yardstick all the way back then tapped it, then took something metal (a clamp) and got it to pull around the leg, the rest was easy, used the same magnet to add weight to the string so it would fall through the noodle, made to size and then just tied off..

What they look like, and I tossed a ball to see that they work (so far)

The addiction is real...

In the last 2 weeks I've picked up 3 riggers, to use with paracord.
This is my latest. Got a special lanyard bead, just for this, already on the way.

Good use.  It is amazing all the uses people come up with for pool noodles.

Oh totally! The kids complained about their bunk bed ladders so I put them on them and of course duct tape, made the one bike seat a little better before getting the other, again needed that duct tape!

Now if I really wanted to make this look professional, take like 3/4” pvc, take a sak awl make a hole in cap screw the cap into each end, then run a pipe, then wrap black foam pipe insulation, same thing, but not as thick and black will blend in better with everything, at the same time that pvc will really hold it in place! But come on it’s string  and a pool noodle! Lol

No worries.

I suspect you will get around to the TiN MTs eventually ('cos you will have collected nearly everything else - you've been doing very well collecting for a while now  :tu:  )

There are a few other manufacturers that sold TiN coated tools, but most I see these days are made by SOG.

Thank you for the kind words, Greg!

The collecting has definitely been getting more serious in the direction of less common tools, and less C&C stuff. :)

Ebay's sales tax implementation has been frustrating though.
