The piece of saguaro came in today, wasn’t suppose to be here till tomorrow, I must say this guy knows how to wrap, it took me at least 15min to use my sak to cut through the wrapping!

As long as you didn't pay much, toss the knife and use the box as a gift box for a real one. It's definitely a lot better than the flimsy boxes SAKs come in these days. And that is IF. A lot of stores, even my own dedicated cutlery store and major SAK retailers like Swiss Knife Shop, sell them in those awful blister packs.

I pretty much finished my saguaro staff which came in last month,  I sanded the handle grip right, sanded it down to a 400grit And put coats of polycrylic on it, but it just didn’t say enough, so I went to the drawing board and thought of a few things
1, it’s from Arizona, where my grandparents used to live
2, it’s made from a saguaro,
3, my grandfather used to take me hiking up a mountain called superstition mountain
So I bunched those three things together and made a little something, the shape of the outline is the state outline, which fit perfect with the staff, obviously I got the name, I put the cactus in which it’s made from and you gotta have a bull skull to make it cool, yet the mountain in the background is the outline of the mountain where my grandfather used to take me hiking..
so the next part was sanding the spot and transferring it and painting it, so I sketched it out got it somewhat doable by pencil and then painted it with hobby paint, and here’s what it looks like, I just have to put a few coats of poly to protect this a rubber foot and maybe a handle wrap, only thing I forgot is my JR,,

Really like the style on this, especially the typeface... Feels kind of 80s. It's impossible to get a proper photo of it as it looks much nicer in person.
