Stevens 20g model 94c single shot
on: March 09, 2014, 03:17:36 AM
My gunsmith has had this for sale for about a year marked at $125.  Then $100.  Yesterday when we went to pick up my sons gun that needed work, he offered it for $80..

Beautiful walnut stock.  Long barell with what appears a full choke

I talked it over with my wife and she was encouraging.

When the deal was done, I tipped him a victorinox classic

Nice.  :tu:  A simple, classic design.  One of those was my first shotgun, and I had chamber inserts for it to shoot .30-30 and .45 Colt/.410-gauge.

Pictures! *laughs* Sounds like a great catch. I know if my local gunshop had something like that, the Tavor fund would be dented.

I had chamber inserts for it to shoot .30-30 and .45 Colt/.410-gauge.

These always intrigue me, but I always have concerns about accuracy. How were they?

No comparison to a dedicated rifle for sure, but good enough for close range work, such as in the woods.  The .30-30 one had a rifled barrel to it about 18" long.  That would turn a single-shot 20ga into a for sure deer taker farther out than a slug from the same shotgun would.
