Thrift Store Supertool
on: December 05, 2025, 05:11:20 AM
I was out at the local small town Restore. I came accross this 6/98 Supertool in a bin of assorted pliers. It needs a cleaning and a knife sharpening. It seems to be complete, no sheath. I asked how much, the reply was "all pliers are $5". Here are my new to me $5 pliers.

They would have had to haul me to a hospital for rolling on the ground and giggling.  Best wishes,  G

That's an awesome find, congratulations!

I just paid 10x that for a SuperTool in worse condition and considered myself quite fortunate, so that just goes to show how great a deal you got!

I have friends in low places!  Just do not be to good to look in those places.

Great rescue.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Great score! Right around the time I got my first PST, my kid brother (now 51) got the Supertool. I thought it was overkill, but he was studying to be an electric engineer, so. Now, he still has it, and he knows better than to leave me in the room alone with it... even though I've gifted him half a dozen good folders before he saw the light and started buying high end knives for himself and his boys.

But one of these days I'll snatch it.
