Thanks.
I am really not sure what they would be called, pretty sure the onyx are darker.
Is there a color listing in Sakwiki?

Also I have seen quite a few other color scales on Rangers in this thread but wiki said these only came in red.

Anyway this is a cool SAK and initially I bought it because it had a file and it was cheap now I am digging the whole package.

I'm not sure either, but I know I've seen pics on here of onyx scales that have appeared darker, and brown as well.  There must have been two versions of them I'd say   Glad you're digging the Ranger though :tu:

It's pretty easy to like the Ranger. It can do all the things I've seen a Huntsman do, plus it can cut through nails.  Slowly, mind you, but sometimes your options are limited.

The Ranger's tool density is what makes it stand out for me. Every single layer has a backside tool. I'm not sure why this isn't the case for any four-layer SAKs I've seen.

The high concentration of tools in such small pack is awesome for camping.

Haha, thanks for looking the other way ;)  I had to sacrifice its scissors for a custom alox I had done.  Oh well, it was worth it :tu:
Holy Mother of God :ahhh what a sacrilege (Image removed from quote.) how could ya... :pok:

It was easier than you may think, especially to get that sweet custom Explorer ME ;)

Oh, I believe you, I'd "sacrifice" scissors on Ranger anytime,
but with the scissors is also sacrified the innocent hook :o
and this, of course, is the most intolerable sacrilege out there

I have a late 70s  Ranger from my dad don't carry it much due to sentimental value.
