Where did you get those scales from, they look different from the "pure white" scales I found here:  http://www.swisstool.co.uk/st/CyberTool-29/

The cross looks different for a start, see examples here: http://www.swisstool.co.uk/st/spartan-white-swiss-army-knife/

They were a gift from a member in the US - but as far as I can tell they're totally standard white plus scales with the same cross as all my other SAKs.

With fanciness added by fairies I assume :dd:

Think I may actually just get the Cybertool 29 in jelly red, then changes the scales later, as can't decide on white, solid red or black currently (or maybe even something fancy like titanium).

BTW I'd like to pick up some of the other bit sizes that don't come with the Cybertool, i.e. those from the Swisschamp XLT.

i.e.

Torx 6
Torx 8

Hex 1,2 mm
Hex 1,5 mm

Hex 2 mm
Hex 2,5 mm

Nowhere seems to have these ones, though:

Bit Slotted 3x1
Bit Slotted 4x1

There's a couple of places in Europe that sell at least some of these bits:

http://www.pizzini.at/shop/cybertool/p-356.html (have all but the slotted 3mm/4mm, which seem impossible to get)

They also do 91mm Plus scales (and others) for 3 € each: http://www.pizzini.at/shop/victorinox-replacement-scales/p-385.html

http://mymesser.de/epages/b0f75a5e-95dd-4ff4-b13b-9297fc27413d.sf/en_GB/?ViewObjectPath=%2FShops%2Fb0f75a5e-95dd-4ff4-b13b-9297fc27413d%2FProducts%2FA.7680.34&ViewAction=ViewAccessory (they don't seem to have the Hex 2 mm/Hex 2,5 mm, though, nor the slotted ones above)

The problem is, though, that both places charge about 15 € minimum postage...

Would anyone here that's  fancy a group buy for bits and/or scales? I'd be happy to organise and we can split the postage costs and would charge cost for any forwarding-on postage, though may not be worth it for those outside of Europe.

BTW seems strange there are  two bits that have the Torx 8 (T8 / 4mm hex and T8/T6) but no Torx 7 bit - what were Victorinox thinking?

Great, do you want to PM me exactly which bits and scales you want? I'll contact you again to confirm before actually ordering. I'm also happy to order other small spares for people (pens, scissors springs etc.) from Pizzini, but will draw the line at anything much heavier or bulkier, as that could make onward postage costs uneconomic.

Anyone else? Ideally would like to place this order before the end of next week, maybe sooner if there are enough interested parties

Of course! :-)

So is anyone else interested in the little group buy for the 4mm Victorinox bits that you can usually only get with the SwissChamp XLT that I mentioned yesterday? There's not many places that sell these bits:

  • Torx 6/Torx 8 (yes I know the Cybertool already has Torx 8, but it doesn't have the useful little Torx 6)
  • Hex 2 mm/Hex 2.5 mm
  • Hex 1.2 mm/Hex 1.5 mm

They also have various scales and other small Victorinox accessories at a good price, it's just the shipping that's high, but that could be spread...

I've only had one taker so far

Yes, I am. I need a replacement bit for a CT41, and I'd like a couple of T6/T8s. Probably other stuff too - will check on pizzini and let you know.

The 3+4 bit has suffix code 13 I think.  Available online last time I looked, but not listed in the Victorinox catalogue as a spate part.

Don't forget the Beretta bits as well...

Okay, PM me what you're interested in - nothing too big please, only bits, scales and small accessories. I'll confirm costs before making any order.

I haven't been able to find either the slotted 3mm/4mm bit anywhere, but anyone does, please let me know! Not so bothered about the Beretta bits, I'm unlikley to need to field strip a pistol in the UK, though a 3mm hex bit would be nice...

According to SAKwiki (http://www.sakwiki.com/tiki-browse_image.php?imageId=1953), these are the bits that came with the Beretta Cybertool:

"The double-ended bits supplied were (1) Hex 2mm / 3mm, (2) Slotted 3mm x 1mm / 4mm x 1mm, (3) Hex 4mm / Torx T8, (4) Slotted 4.5mm x 0.4mm / 4.5mm x 0.7mm".

Search for "victorinox A.7680.13", maybe putting " site:de" on the end to help you choose where it would come from: https://www.schweizermesser-shop.de/victorinox-bit-cybertool-sb3-sb4

Good find, though of the other Swisschamp XLT bits they only seem to have the T6/T8 - none of the small hex bits - would be good to find one store that has *all* the Swisschamp bits...

They look like decent value on http://shop.messerjoker.de/index.php?a=2176, and a search for "A.7680.13 A.7680.34 A.7680.60 A.7680.62" finds others.:

Thanks, am looking into these, though some don't actually have all the Swisschamp bits actually available to buy and some (e.g.Chiara) are charging 20 € for delivery to the UK for just 4 bits. Also a bit tricky to figure out how these sites work as they don't have English localisations, though Google translate helps a little...

Lovely bit of kit, and great photoS. Thank you :)

Hmmm.. I wonder if one could cram the cybertool bit driver into an 84mm frame. I suspect the springs would present the biggest challenge.

Thanks, it's a little bit bigger than I was expecting, though just about small enough for pocket carry, though I might need to use a P7 clip or else perhaps get a Skinth P1, which would mean I could carry my DQG Tiny AAA Ti torch next to it, and the P1 should stop the knife falling sideways into the bottom of my pocket.

What's stopping me is the astronomical price on a brand new one and the lack of availability in the second hand market...
