Join the club if you're crazy about PSTs and it's one of your favorite multitools  :D

I, for one, think it's one of the best pieces of equipment ever manufactured.  :salute:

Started with a PST II then bought a PST. Now I want a BO PST and maybe a Japanese PST. Did they make a BO PST II?

Count me in buddy.  Started off with a PSTII myself, but have since gotten 3 PSTs.  They are an addicting MT, and part of that is not always knowing exactly what you're going to get in terms of the age/version, etc.  I think it's a great overall tool loadout for the slim and lightweight design.

The PST was my first MT, given to me by my parents back in the mid-90s. It came with me on countless Scout outings, including a 2-week backpacking trek where it proved to be invaluable. everything from cooking to fire prep to repairing gear, and everything in between.

My beloved PST has been retired for about a decade now, but it will always have a place of honor in my collection. :salute:

of course, a few more PSTs have also made their way into my collection... :D

i love looking at the PST photos on this board.  my first real 'non-pocketknife' multitool was a PST, and it got stolen when my smallish toolbox at the time got swiped by some miscreant.  i hope she took a thief's finger off for it.  the pst i mean, she was a good friend (her name was rachel.  i name a lot of my things, especially tools and vehicles.  if this sounds weird, i am not telling it right).

i keep meaning to find a replacement PST....the next leatherman i bought was the original supertool.  i tried some gerbers, but after breaking two or three, i bought a wave and haven't looked back.  still burns me about losing rachel, though; she was my friend, confidante, helpful hand, and often, my roach clip through most of college.  i hate a thief.

edit:  my toolbox is too heavy for one human to steal now, and it locks.

I like how there can be many decent PSTs available for cheap though.  That's how I ended up with my other two.

I wish  LM still made sheaths with the good leather and high quality of the old ones.

I have 7 PST's and 5 PST ll's. I can't pass them up at flea markets for $10, which is the usual price around here.

This sums it up for me. I like not knowing what I'm gonna get as far as year and model.

Yeah, that's also how I ended up with the 3 PST's ;)  It's too easy to just drop $20 or so on a decent looking PST and then anticipate what it will end up being.
