Has anyone built a Strandbeest? Adam Savage built a model in a one day build video. Here is the you tube link.

I absolutely love that they are interactive.

I think the capt has a thread somewhere around here on them. Did you search?

For a long time I've wanted to dress up my Star Wars action figure collection display cupboard to be more diorama like vs the stark white backdrop... in light of a recent purchase I was looking around for Deathstar/stardestroyer wall patterns and discovered: http://dioramaworkshop.com

:ahhh mind blown... so many resources... I need a proper workshop!!!  :ahhh
The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.

just got a couple of 1/72 scale Space 1999 Eagle Transporters (on sale for 16 bucks).

I had one when I was younger and I liked it a lot so I thought why not!
but be awhile before I get to this.

I'm seriously eyeing the new 22" kit by "Round 2/MPC"! the reviews are great!
check out the youtube stuff if you want to see more ;)

Huh, I thought I posted what I found, guess not.. I really started to like those metal models, called metal earth by fascinations, one because you don't have to paint them, but two because you take a "flat" 2d piece and turn it into a 3D model.. I was in sheet metal ductwork back in the day, it's pretty much the same but not as fancy.. Anyway, the wife wanted to get me a couple models more or less to keep me busy so I was looking around to see what I could find, and I came across a package deal on eBay for dirt cheap, I'm talking like $25 for eight models, and normally they go for anywhere around $8--$15 each, so I was like hurry up its a deal! Well I found out why they were such a deal, their not by fascination! Someone is taking the same model and making the same identical thing, yet for like a 3rd of the price. Truthfully I can care less who makes it, it's just a model..anyway, they turn out the same, but are a little bit more trickier to get the pieces off of the sheet, other then that you'd never know..

Here's the diff between the real thing, how they came and what I got, and two that me and the little guy finished,

I love that.
I made Airfix and Revel models, mostly military. A Sea Knight (Swedish), a Panavia Tornado (German), a Panzer I, a Churchill tank, Kiev Cruiser, an Essex class carrier and an Iowa class battleship, a Hawker Hunter, a Mirage 2000, a FW 190 are some that I remember. I was a kid and didn't own an airbrush, so my models were so and so, but I loved it.
Now I don't have time to do that and I buy my lead soldiers figures painted.
