From which other Leathermans can i transplant the parts (inserts, pocket clips) to by Rebar?

there are few of broken leathermans running in my local classifieds (Croatia) but i wouldn't throw the cash if it ends up incompatible.

I would like to try this, cheaper option, before springing out for new parts.

Welcome to the boards mate.

Short answer is the locking four inch Leathermans like the Wave, Charge and Blast etc.
The Kick pocket clip and screw is also worth a look.

Thanks mate, i will look into that now.

Im not really good with manufacturing my own tools from metal, but fiddling/assembling something from parts is ok with me. Even some grinding/filing/cutting.
I own a Rebar for merely 24 hours now, but i already miss the pocket clip, i dont carry stuff on my belt.

Just got a Charge TTi+ for Xmas and I'm looking to add an awl to it. After doing a bit of research I've settled on a Rebar Awl, which should get in today. From what I've read, this should be a direct drop in correct? I think I saw that I should be able to swap it out for the mini driver or scissors.

Is this true or will it require some modification to play nicely? Stoked to be part of such a cool modding community!

rebar awl will fit if you swap with large flat head but if you swap with scissors wont close properly(1mm gap or so) if swapped with mini screwdriver then i think you will need to remove plier rest.  both swap with scissors or mini sd will require knife lock to be removed or back of awl grinding i think.

Thanks for this! Got it installed. Quick question though, do any of your modded tools have vertical blade play? I don't remember it being there before I put the awl in, it isn't much but is definitely noticeable. Side to side is rock solid... The vertical play is noticeable when any tool is locked up.

There was a slump in mods last year. Hopefully 2020 will be more modful!

Thanks!
I hadn’t carried it in quite awhile, but decided to dust it off and give it some carry time until my Wave gets here :dd:
