I did a scale swap from my Al to the Orange G10 :woohoo: I did also replace the worn blade on the Al as well

I got the replacement blade, a 154cm, from my Wave that I did a blade swap in years ago :salute: I gathered everything together :tu:

Only borrowing one side of the orange G10 Charge, I replaced one side with the 2 titanium scales that I have :salute: I didn't want to swap both knives to G10 but still wanted the Charge to be functional  :ahhh I decided to keep one side titanium and the other orange G10 :D

Now, I have a dual scale Charge which turned out kind of cool looking to me 8) :like:

Now I have 2 very nice knives to swap out between and still have the knife I want but in different scales :woohoo:

Believe it or not this is the same tool  :D hard to show pics of it because of the way it is :dunno: the above pic shows it sort of

Simple scale swap on one side to get to some orange G10 scales for my Charge Knife  :D

Thanks Aloha  :hatsoff: I really did have fun making this one and it isn't any kind of panicking going on these days when I take a tool completely apart :D

Right?  When I did my Wave mod.  It took me a few days just to build the courage.  Then I read as much as I could before even thinking it was possible for a noob like me.  Its always fun to take on these projects however small or complicated.

Our modder community is so helpful too.  I'd have been lost if it wasn't for them.

I remember my first mod, a blade swap on a Wave, it should have been an easy one  but of course the pivot fell out  and took me a while to get it back together :ahhh I did, of course, get it back together 8) and each mod after became increasingly easy :woohoo:

Poncho - how difficult is it to modify the Charge like that?

I’ve seen a video showing how to modify a Signal which looked easy (and which is about at my mechanical level).  Is the Charge much more difficult?

I have done it several times now, so it is fairly easy at this point  but better than telling you, I can show you :woohoo: This is a video on that very question that I made last year :tu: The AL version in the video is now the G10 you see in my latest pic  I swapped scales and went for Tti pivots instead of the knurled fasteners otherwise the mod is the exact same :salute:

I have a badly modded Wave. Would like to get it sorted somehow.

The Pliers don’t work right, one side breaks down if you try and use em.

It also has the stupid LM Scissors which I want to pitch in the trash.

 Sounds like you need to increase tension just a little bit on the plier side that breaks down to easily  :salute: unless of course it has the dreaded cracked frame :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh

And the scissors  sorry can't help if you dont like the design  :D
