Max Von Sydow is also supposed to be in it.

Apart from the original cast, I'm not really sure who most of the new cast is. I guess that's a good thing.

Finally a Star Wars with the real cast again!! it only can get better with this movie, then with the wrong "Episode I, II and III"! :D
If they somehow pack Jar Jar Binks in there I will cry bloody murder!!!

One of the old script writers and thew old actors? I hope they bring a blaster they can stick in JJ Abrams back if he tries some 'funny' shacky cam or obvious logical disasters (see: New Star Trek 1+2).

Otherwise it sounds good.  :tu:

And to hell with jar jar.  >:D

I'm disappointed that they didn't get Morgan Freeman to play older Lando.

I don't imagine we need to worry about Jar Jar... how would they explain his absence in 4, 5, 6? Plus even though he seems to have the best dumb luck, it has to eventually run out.

Apparently in the new "canon/EU" Boba Fett is dead again...

My SAK caplifter is good with opening jars. A jar-jar might be double the effort, but I think I can manage that  :climber:

Do they keep Harrison Ford in a jar of Botox or is this an older photo? I think in the Daily Mail article he looked much older.

I am hoping this will be directed at an older audience than Ep. 1 - 3 & 6. Hope dies lastly...

Hm, I thought that is how they were portrayed in the third movie. A bunch of cuddly Mary Sues. Very fitting for a grim fight

Maybe not that way, but he is a very accomplished voice actor now.  He was Joker in many of the new animated Batman series and movies, Fire Lord Ozai in Avatar: the Last Airbender, and did several small parts in the animated Clone Wars series.

I've got to say... bagging on someone for getting old, and NOT doing the stupid hollywood facelift thing seems ... I dunno... shallow. People get old. That's the way of it. it's like if people complained about Carrie Fisher not looking hot in the Slave Leia outfit anymore. Of course not, she's not a kid strung out on coke anymore.

Sorry. Just needed a micro-vent.

As for not knowing the other actors... doesn't bother me a bit. The original cast was largely unknown.

Also-also... of the prequel trilogy, I thought 2 was pretty solid, and three was great. This coming from a die hard OT fan. Ewan McGregor was great, Natalie Portman COULD have been, given the right director. And umm... Hayden Christianson was... Uhh... he looked great with all his limbs cut off and on fire. :D

Considering that it's probably been close to 40 years since the first movie was filmed I think she's doing damn well! As for Mark, lets not forget he had a pretty bad car accident back then, and cosmetic surgery wasn't what it is now back then. Didn't they also favour filming him from the opposite side because of his scar? He's by no means a failure though, he's been in a lot of tv and film, and as mentioned does heaploads of voice overs for various cartoons and video games. You've probably heard him loads and never realized it!

He's been the Joker in almost every Batman cartoon in the last twenty years and yet everyone knows him only as Luke Skywalker, a role he played three times, the last one being 30 years ago.

Talk about typecast!
