I find the idea of 'loosening your grip' on an axe handle quite dangerous, to be honest. And this head makes the axe rotate out of your hand at every strike. This does not really convince me. But I am not an arvid axe user. How do the experienced users see this?

Honestly, I couldn't ever see myself using one of these. Mainly because it is only being demonstrated on Birch with no knots and straight grain. I would think it wouldn't fare too well on hard woods (especially compared to a maul) and I can't imagine it does much better than simply twisting your standard axe while splitting. Definitely an interesting concept though.

I started a thread about this some time back and was informed there was already a thread some time before that. Strangly I couldn't find the thread.

The inventor was here some time ago spamming the forum with links to his wabsite. There's some of the info left there in this thread.

And it seems you were linked to it in that thread you started. Someone even wanted to throw their cane on you.

:P
