Two good finds at a local pawn shop.
on: May 02, 2014, 12:49:32 AM
I rarely go to this pawn shop, but decided to do so today, and found two neat finds.

The first is a World Famous advertising multi-tool.

And the next is something I wasn't prepared to find at a local pawn shop. An electrician's tool.

That little (R) in a circle makes all the difference - the company can say that "World Famous" is a registered trade mark rather than a (not very truthful) claim of status and reknown

The head on that electrician tool looks familiar, but I can't quite recall where I've seen it before.  One of the less popular "good" brands perhaps ?

Good haul, I've only ever seen absolute rubbish (mostly broken) in the pawn shops around here (which I call the "stolen goods recycling centre" ).

How well do the scissors work on that World Famous one? I've seen a few in that layout but none with scissors. Aside from not really liking the ergonomics / serrated flathead I have to say the tools seem more than capable enough. Certainly the sort of thing I'd be happy to have in a glovebox.

Is that a fish scaler on the world famous one or is it supposed to be a saw of some sort?

On the electricians tool that looks pretty cool, no complaints from me on that one! Plus a bit driver... awesome! :tu:

The scissors are ok. No side to side wobble. However, the metal spring mechanism has seen better days. They barely open the scissors.

That is a saw. My guess for drywall, but the tip usually are pointy on those.

That is correct. Here is a link that dates back to 2011. I now have an official Bear & Son Electrician, but the ToolZall version in the photo shows the head.
