The ST300 is a behemoth!

This probably isn't news to most of you, but I hadn't seen an ST300 so it was news to me.

My brother sent in his old broken original SuperTool and Leatherman (or the distributor) sent him a replacement ST300 the next day.

They say the Rebar is 1/2" shorter… but that really doesn't translate. Even in pictures it doesn't come across. The ST300 is a BEAST!

It's nearly twice as fat as a Rebar

He actually doesn't like it. It's too big for him to carry around in his pocket. So he's probably getting a Rebar for work.

It is a big beast, no question about it. Personally I think the size is just right- it has enough heft and strength to it to feel like a 'real' tool and for that reason it is my most used and abused MT.

I actually find it fairly easy to carry in the standard 'box' leather sheath too. Sure you know that its there on your belt, but not in an uncomfortable way. That said, the Rebar is a more sensible choice if pocket-ability is a priority.

I always found it too heavy and bulky even to carry in a sheath. I sold my ST300 off and that's one item I do not miss. Why would anyone want a MT that much bigger than the Rebar  ???

My brother really likes the ST300, he uses the smurf out of it everyday like JA did, but he wouldn't mind downgrade to a Rebar.

I carry mine daily. I would feel lost without it.

Yeah the ST300 sure is big, but when you need something heavy duty the ST300 is what you want!

He might be selling it. If that's the case I'll be picking it up for a truck tool :D

I'd love to get my hands on a ST300.  The problem is, I have too many MT's on my need want list.

I have a 30th Anniversary 300 and wanted a user but the Surge came in first and now I'm not so sure.  I'll eventually get one for the collection but the Surge is just to darn awesome.
