This post was the reason why I signed up to this forum. I was trying to search for more information on various types if Charge, and I found this. Thanks TS for a wonderful post.

Got a new Charge. This one is a Texas Toolcrafter anodized blue new Charge TTi.

Here is the blue Charge next to the Damascus bladed Charge...both from Texas Toolcrafter.

Here it is next to another special blue Charge.

That blue does look nice.  I really wish I knew the guys that work in our process shop, I could probably get anything I want anodized.  I don't know what colors they have though.

From what I understand, once they ran out of the older model, only the newer ones will be up for sale. I had an american friend get this one for me...and they had to call Cabela's because their literature showed the old model, but it turned out to be the newer model sold.

Another nice review/comparo C Man.

I just do not feel the whole Charge thing. Pay more for the same tools, no thanks. Do like the S30V though.

Maybe it is because I like clean simple lines with out a lot of added fanfare.

I was at my Father-in-Law's today, I showed him my new Surge and then he went off to find something and came back with a Charge TTi that was given to him years ago. The thing was brand new still! He said it hurt his hand when he was using it the first time and he put it away and forgot about it. His EDC is a small folder, but I'm hoping that he'll get some use out of this very nice tool now that he remembers he has it.

Same here, never a charge fan, so I ask B man put a s30v blade on my wave.

I prefer the look and feel of the Charge, but to each their own.

I'm just glad I had a new S30V blade on hand for you, Kampfer. I still love your Mini-Surge pics. :tu:

I prefer the feel of a Charge TTi in my hand over a Wave (old/original or new), maybe the Charge handles are "grippier" or something.

But as B12 says, "to each their own".  That's the good thing about MTs, there are so many different ones around we can all choose the one we prefer, and if that's still not quite perfect then there is always the mod option ..............
