LM pocket clip into 1/4" driver
on: June 16, 2008, 02:20:03 PM
did a bit craftin durin lunchbreak  :D
has a strong li´l magnet that keep bits in place even in carry upside down,it seems.i made the socket outta some power drills bit driver, its stainless.i shortened it,removed the original pressed hex shank, removed the magnet too.welded the socket into cutted and drilled clip with proper stainless tig rod,and then finished it a bit and blasted the surfaces.i didnt have dremel or small files at school so it doesnt fit perfectly yet,but ill file it down to as close to perfection as i can tomorrow i guess.

You want to patent the idea quickly as the guy's at Leatherman regularly visit this site ;)

It's a good way of keeping all the bit's and pieces together, and hopefully prevent them going astray :)

again it was bit boring at school so i went and do some"serious" mod into powerlock.
i got this fully serrated non locking blade with it and i wanted to use it,so i just ground proper size pin from old drill´s stem, that it went tightly thru two sog blades, and lined those.then i lined the spines of these blades, and locked em with  locking pliers(not crunch, since now i got none 8)),that had some cloth around jaws,to prevent any bitemarks.then i just filed the lock groove with diamond file using the another, locking model blade as template.

now it clicks and locks and im so macgyver. :P

three hoorays for serrated blades, anyone :D

Sounds like you did a nice bit of modding work there Mikko.  :)

Will you reassemble it with both blades installed? Or will you just replace the serrated knife with the plain edge?

im goint to have  only one cutting blade, that serrated in it,since i use multis blade mosty for shredding, ropes etc,the fine detail whittling is fo real knives and folders :D
